Some of you may have noticed that I have not been posting quite as much as I usually do. That's 
because our computer at home was invade by malware and a virus that not only attempted to gain access to our personal information, but it also shut down our security software and prevented us from using our computer. When my computer guy removed the unwelcome malware, the virus wiped the operating system from the computer. A very nice Christmas present. As my computer guy tells me, it's from Russia, with love. No offense to my many Russian readers (and there are quite a lot of you). Just stating facts. Seems to me that there's no good thing in this world that there isn't somebody out there willing to destroy it. So, until the operating system and security software are reinstalled and the computer is declared to be virus free, I will be posting seldom, if at all.

It's Christmas, and I'm not going to let some cyber-jerk from Siberia get me down. It's Christmas, so let's rejoice and celebrate. Ours is going to be a very quiet and intimate Christmas. Michelle and I are both real homebodies. Neither of us like to travel over the holidays. We'd much rather just hunker down safe and warm at home, wrapped up in the warmth of our love and happiness. My three daughters are coming to visit metonight and they'll be here until tomorrow night. We'll play games, watch movies, snack on various hors d'oeuvres. That sort of thing. On Christmas Eve, Michelle and I will snuggle down together with some egg nog and watch

On Christmas morning - after we do the rip-and-tear fest with the presents, we'll go to church, where Michelle will conduct the choir - including yours truly singing bass - for the Christmas program, which Michelle also wrote. Sunday afternoon, after what is likely to be a day of long-distance phone calls to friends and family, we'll feast on roast beef and boiled red cabbage and various other goodies.
